Great Eastern Offshore Wind project in Australia is one step closer
Corio Generation welcomes the announcement by Minister for Climate Change and Energy, the Hon. Chris Bowen MP, on the Gippsland offshore wind zone off the coast of Victoria.
We are pleased to note the government's intention to grant a feasibility licence to our 2.5 GW Great Eastern Offshore Wind project, subject to First Nations consultation.
Our team will continue to engage with and listen to the community during the next phase of this process.
We see a significant opportunity for offshore wind in Australia as a proven renewable energy source which can not only make a significant contribution to the country’s future energy mix, but also brings economic benefits with local jobs and investment.
